While in Sumy, the committee held the 24th field meeting to have discussions over budgeting for major spheres and activities which are subject to the local authorities, analyzing the most pressing problems and the ways to solve them.
In the course of the meeting, there was a range of issues touched upon:
- funding for an investment project on roads refinement in pursuance of the State road development task programme 2023,
- state support to child health improvement and recreation centres, keeping the local centres network,

implementation of the Health-care
outfits enhancement programme providing for creation of an integrated medical township
designed to merge four regional medical and preventive treatment facilities
(the all-age clinical hospital, the cardiologic dispensary, the regional clinical
hospital for veterans). There is an acute need for state funding of
construction of a surgical ward at the Sumy regional clinical hospital.
Given that the best part of the Sumy oblast’s gross added value and budget revenue had recently been produced by the local industrial engineering industry, there was high on the agenda the issue of a closer cooperation between the government authorities, large-scale state companies and enterprises of the oblast with the aim to push the economic development forward and solve the local industrial problems. There were also ample discussions over state support to home commodity producers.
