O.Omelchenko informed the UNDP representative about the duties and functions of the Committee. He stated that for the period from November 2007 till February 2008, the Committee held 10 meetings, and prepared 159 resolutions concerning Bills of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Joanna Kazana-Wisniowiecka dwelled upon establishment of mutually beneficial cooperation between the United Nations Development Programme and the profile Committee as regards implementation of the administrative and territorial reform in Ukraine that will promote active participation of the local communities in the process of adopting resolutions at the State level.
