MPs are keeping on considering the agenda issues.

There are the three morning bills No.7163, 7163-1, 7163-2 on the state policy to secure Ukraine’s sovereignty over the temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk-Luhansk oblasts still under consideration. The bills have been reported by Oleksandr Turchynov, the Secretary of the NSDC (The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine), Oksana Syroid, Andrii Illienko, MPs.

Ivan Vinnyk, the Secretary of the Committee on National Security and Defence, shared the committee’s recommendation to take the bill No.7163 on the first reading.

A large group of parliament members blocked the floor, hindering the Speaker to chair the plenary meeting, and insisting upon nibbling away the Minsk agreements-associated parts from the law’s text.

There was an induced break announced by the presiding officer.

In the aftermath of the break, it was agreed by the parliamentary factions’ heads that the Minsk accords-related provisions are to be cut out from the body of law under review. “This overall agreement was thought to unblock the floor discussions on the law. However, the tribune is still blocked which seems to be inadmissible since we need to recognize Russia as aggressor legally,” underlined the Chair of the Parliament.

“We shall continue reviewing this law for certain, though today’s parliamentary meeting is pronounced concluded,” said Andriy Parubiy. “The law defining Russia as aggressor is sure to be taken here in the chamber very soon”.

The presiding officer closed the evening plenary meeting.
