Ad Hoc Supervisory Panel of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Privatization
…held a working group meeting on “State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine” Public Joint-Stock Company and “Agrarian Fund” Public Joint-Stock Company.
As the State
Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine is still in need to reconcile some
privatization issues with its major creditor, the Export-Import Bank of China,
the committee, upon a close look, is about to appeal to the Prime Minister of
Ukraine to initiate a thorough official probe on the breach of the transfer
timetable of the Agrarian Fund’s equity stake to the State Property Fund of
Ukraine for further privatization as per the laws in force.
Touching the Agrarian Fund, the State Property Fund of Ukraine decided in 2016 to privatize 100% of the state equity stake in the Agrarian Fund’s statutory fund, however the stake has not been transferred to the State Property Fund of Ukraine as yet.
