The First Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Iryna Herashchenko has just been delegated to the USA with a working visit, headed by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
With the tribute to the memory of the victims of the Ukrainian Holodomor Famine/Genocide of 1932-33 and dialogue with the local Ukrainian community Ukrainian delegates launched the visit. Talking with the local Ukrainians, Head of the State expressed his deep gratitude for their unity and great support in treatment and rehabilitation of the wounded in ATO zone.
The President also thanked the
US for the sizeable aid to the reforms Ukraine has been conducting, for the
assistance in strengthening of the state’s sovereignty and independence. Special
thanks were addressed to the ‘fine gift’ for Ukraine in a subtle wrapping of
newly prolonged sanctions against the Kremlin.
A wide range of meetings and talks is scheduled for the Ukrainian delegation, intended to uplift the mutual cooperation in security, political and economic realms. The White House, the United States Department of State, the United States Department of Defense, the United States Department of Commerce, the United States Department of Energy - all are high on the visit’s meeting agenda.
