…declares that the draft of the law on financial statements audit and auditing activities (in Ukraine) seems to expose the market to the risks of induced monopolization. The draft bill offered by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine under No.6016 ‘on financial statements audit and auditing activities’ is near to kill the Ukrainian independent audit market, bearing at the same time risks of forced monopolization of the market by the ‘big sharks’, and even threatens the national security. The ministerial draft bill is opposed by the MPs-prepared bill No.2534 which is void of those flaws, protecting the local auditing bodies. The committee’s head called on the central authorities to do their utmost to disable the ministerial ‘kill bill’.
