The committee
recommends to accept it on the first and second readings a draft bill amending
the state budget for 2017 regarding local election financing. Bill draft No.6431 offers a substantial rise in state
spending on the central election commission through some budget programs and
redeployment in allocated funds. It is noteworthy the changes offered are well
balanced. The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine tables it for review. In spite of
some procedural questions the committee has approved the bill to be recommended
to the Parliament for acceptance on the second reading with some few committee’s
prompts.

The committee moved through over 1000 amendments to the insurance law having resulted in draft bill No.1797-1, which is now still under consideration. The committeemen stressed that the law was so tricky thing that the committee had been working for years over it. And at the last lap of the run the World Bank’s experts have even teamed up.
