First Vice-Speaker noted that Ukraine expected from Indonesia further support of Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. Special attention was devoted to the situation of human rights violations in the occupied Crimea.
The parties also discussed the coordination of efforts on various international venues and inter-Parliamentary assemblies in security, territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country.
The interest in partnership in the fields of aircraft construction, economy, tourism, and other industries was discussed in the context of bilateral cooperation. ‘In 2015 the inter-parliamentary friendship group was created, and both parties are interested to use this format for activation of not only inter-Parliamentary contacts, but also for bilateral cooperation in trade, economy, education and tourism," declared Iryna Herashchenko.
Deputy Speaker of the People’s Representative Council of Indonesia Fadli Zon accented that Indonesia respected the territorial integrity of Ukraine and supported peaceful settlement of the current situation in eastern Ukraine and Crimea by political and diplomatic means.
Fadli Zon supports the position that rights protection of Crimean Tatars should be on the agenda of inter-Parliamentary meetings and various international organizations.
