‘Ukraine and Morocco are both interested in harmonizing within inter-Parliamentary assemblies,’ supposes Iryna Herashchenko, the First Deputy Chairperson of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada. She firmly declared that standpoint of our state at the meeting with the President’s Deputy of the Parliamentary House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Morocco Hayat Bouffarrachen. And the forthcoming 25-year jubilee of our diplomatic relations ‘does image lack of our cooperation at the potentially senior level.’
‘Since Morocco is seen as a main associate among the countries of the Eastern Mediterranian-North Africa region, it ought to be highlighted by a more proactive collaboration between our countries in economy, trade, tourism areas, the inter-Parliamentary ties,’ noted our First Vice Speaker. Hayat Bouffarrachen agreed on that stance and reiterated her sincere hopes that the mutual links would gain a new momentum in the very near future.
The parties also raised the issue of gender equality, having stressed its utter importance for development of a civil society.
The welcome was also attended by Hanna Hopko, the Head of Committee on Foreign Affairs and Mina Tunsi, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Morocco in Ukraine. During the conversation the both sides had talks over Ukrainian-Moroccan interrelations, their economic, political and humanitarian components with a strong emphasis on agribusiness and education.
