I.Sharov, the Committee Chairman, stated that the said parliamentary hearings were initiated by the previous personnel of the Committee and were aimed at Ukraine´s joining Pan-European campaign of the Council of Europe on fighting violence to women.
The Committee members drew attention to necessary stimulation of work towards implementation of the Guidelines of the Parliamentary Hearings. It is also essential to elaborate motions concerning improvement of legislation on domestic violence prevention.
As the result of the discussion, the Committee resolved to elaborate a special Declaration on the state of human rights observation in the field of labour, which is to be ratified at the next sitting.
