During the meeting, the Committee members noted that the bill On Amendments To Article 469 Of Criminal Procedure Code Of Ukraine Touching Some Aspects Of Improvement Of Institution Of Agreements On Admission Of Guilt Between Prosecutor And Suspected Or Accused Person No. 5211 offers to amend Item 2, Section 4 of Article 469 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine putting it in the following wording: "gravest crimes upon condition of revealing by suspected or accused person a new person involved in commission of crime subjected to investigation by the National Anticorruption Bureau, State Bureau of Investigation, and in some cases after consultation with a prosecutor of high level in case the information about commission of the crime by the said person is backed by respective evidence." The members of the Ukrainian Parliament consider that the adoption of the bill will allow preliminary investigation bodies to sign agreements on admission of guilt between prosecutor and suspected or accused person to facilitate observance of reasonable terms for pretrial investigation and successful fulfillment of tasks of criminal proceedings.
