Committee on Family Matters, Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism recommends Ukrainian Parliament approve recommendations of parliamentary hearings entitled Rights of The Child In Ukraine: Consolidation, Observance, Protection

In particular, the document contains proposals of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to hold in February 2017 'an hour of questions to the Government of Ukraine' touching implementation of laws on protection of rights of the child by executive bodies. Besides the document offers to quarterly put issues on protection of rights of the child and support for families with children on the plenary meetings agenda at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

In order to ensure proper operation of children protection services and centers of social services for matters of family, children and youth, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is suggested tabling a bill on amendments to some Laws of Ukraine touching improvement of operation of children services and centers of social services for matters of family, children and youth for consideration of the Ukrainian Parliament.

This bill and respective bylaws have to envision mandatory functioning of children services within local state administrations, executive bodies within city and city district councils.

Besides in order to coordinate the issues of protection of rights of the child at the state level, the document offers to establish the Family and Children Ministry of Ukraine.

Besides the draft recommendations contain a number of certain proposals regarding improvement of activity of a number of ministries, law enforcement bodies and local self-government bodies.

The Supreme Court of Ukraine is suggested analyzing court practice in consideration of cases touching deprival and restoration of parental rights.

The text of the recommendations also suggests that the National Security and Defense Council consider observance of rights of the child in Ukraine.
