The event was organized along with the Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs all-Ukrainian nongovernmental organization.
The participants in the roundtable were members of the Ukrainian Parliament, representatives of executive bodies, relevant associations, nongovernmental organizations and experts.
First Deputy Chairperson of the Committee Oleksandr Dombrovskyi drew attention of the roundtable participants to the necessity for finding complex solutions that would take interests of a wide range of participants into consideration and make the state provide real monetized protection of disadvantaged population.
President of the Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Anatolii Kinakh, noted the necessity for understanding of a deep interrelation of the structure of the national budget and major indicators of socioeconomic development of the country. In his words, Ukraine now needs significant changes in formatting of its export structure.
Head of the State
Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine, Serhii Savchuk,
presented results of his Agency's work under the "warm loans"
program. He recalled that the major goal of the Agency is to reach substantial
indicators of cutting natural gas consumption as primary source of reliable
financing. Therefore to succeed in implementation of the Program in 2017, the
state budget for 2017 has to envision UAH 1.96 billion. "Attraction of
funds to this sector will mean the development of Ukrainian economy, small and
mid-sized business, creation of new jobs, introduction of innovative
environment friendly technologies and energy decentralization," he noted.
