Verkhovna Rada Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and Interethnic Relations holds regular meeting

The participants in the meeting were Chairperson of the Committee Hryhorii Nemyria, First Deputy Chairperson of the Committee Valerii Patskan, Deputy Chairperson of the Committee Heorhii Lohvinskyi, secretary of the Committee Vadym Rabinovych, members of the Committee Vasyl Brenzovych, Mustafa Dzhemiliov, and Refat Chubarov.
The Committee members recommended that the Ukrainian Parliament return the draft law No. 4115 "On amendments to Article 19 of Law of Ukraine "On citizenship of Ukraine" (as to loss of citizenship of Ukraine for commission of crimes against fundamentals of national security of Ukraine) for further update.
The Committee recommended that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopt the draft law No. 3459 "On amendments to some Laws of Ukraine" (as to provision of free catering for children of internally displaced persons) as a basis in first reading.
Committee members considered the address of the State Migration Service of Ukraine as to initiating the amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On freedom of movement and free choice of residence in Ukraine" (as to exclusion of certificate on internally displaced person registration from the list of documents on residence) and decided to appoint the Committee as the initiator of respective amendments.
Verkhovna Rada ombudsman Valeriya Lutkovska noted the necessity for a dialogue between the attorneys and the National Anticorruption Bureau and called on the National Anticorruption Bureau detectives not to breach the law.
Hryhorii Nemyria noted that the Committee's major task is to do its best to prevent the violation of laws and the principles of the supremacy of law.
