On June 23, the interns studying with the Internship Program at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (2015-2016) met with Oleksandr Moroz, a Ukrainian politician and public activist, former head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in 1994-1998 and 2006-2007.
The politician and the interns discussed current political situation in Ukraine, in particular, major social policy problems and prospects of their settlement, openness and transparency of the Ukrainian power and Oleksandr Moroz's personal achievements in his political career.
Discussing the issue of corruption at the bodies of state power, Oleksandr Moroz noted that every offender must be punished as the punishment for a crime first of all means respect to the state and the law.
The politician also answered interns' questions, discussed efficiency and essence of the decentralization, development of economy, reformation of the Ukrainian Parliament.
At the end of the meeting, Oleksandr Moroz said: "To solve a problem, its major elements must be tackled first, and only then one should get to all the insignificant aspects."
