Chairperson of Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense Serhii Pashynskyi meets with member of Senate of the French Republic Nathalie Goulet

The participants in the June 21 meeting were: member of the French Senate / representative of the Orne Department / member of the Union of Democrats and Independents / member of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Forces Committee Nathalie Goulet and Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Hrytsak.

Serhii Pashynskyi said the hybrid war has taken place in Ukraine for two years already. He noted the situation required joint responsible approach of Ukraine and Europe, including the French Republic.

Nathalie Goulet said she engaged in the issues of the fight against terrorism in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly for ten years and expressed her concerns over the fact that Europe does not have any effective defense system today.

Besides, Nathalie Goulet stressed that France knows very little about the real situation in Ukraine and added it was the duty of Ukraine to provide better awareness work among the citizens of the French Republic. She noted that closer professional cooperation should be established between the French and Ukrainian relevant committees.

Besides, the member of the French Senate expressed readiness to assist in provision of aid in the field of the fight against cyber crimes.

Serhii Pashynskyi thanked Nathalie Goulet for comprehensive support for Ukraine, for personal position in many issues.
