People's deputy Nadiya Savchenko takes part in her first PACE session

June 20, people's deputy of Ukraine Nadiya Savchenko delivered her speech at
the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) for
the first time. She expressed confidence that the Russian Federation must
account for the infringement of human rights at the European Court of Human
Rights. The parliamentarian drew attention to kidnapping of the Ukrainians,
including Crimean Tatars. Ms. Savchenko assured she was ready to work
constructively for the sake of the peace. She said Russia as a country that
signed the Budapest Memorandum stabbed Ukraine in the back thus, the Russian
delegation cannot be allowed to return to the PACE. The PACE Committee on
Migration, Refugees and Displaced Persons asked member of the Ukrainian
delegation Nadiya Savchenko to get involved in the monitoring of the
implementation of the resolution on hostages during the war in Ukraine.
