I emphasize my strong respect for human rights and fundamental civil liberties.
On the eve of the March of Equality I emphasize that subject to article 39 of the Constitution of Ukraine citizens have the right to get together peacefully without arms and to hold meetings, rallies, and demonstrations. This is the inalienable right of every human being.
Ensuring the right to peaceful meeting is a very important indicator of the democratic development of society. Therefore I express my support of peaceful human rights march of equality and call the enforcement bodies to secure the public order and security during the event.
Confessing European and democratic values ??I emphasize that all citizens of Ukraine have the constitutional right to peaceful demonstration or rally, and the duty of the state - to guarantee the safety of participants.
Basic human rights should be available for the LGBT community, and discrimination, intimidation and physical harassment of minorities should not exist in a legal state that aspires to become part of the European community.
Our common goal - to build a tolerant, democratic
and European society in Ukraine!
