In the course of discussion of mentioned issues, the Committee Chairman Yegor Soboliev drew attention to the need to include to Recommendations of parliamentary hearings held on 18 May 2016, all important proposals that were made during session, in particular, on the need for fast establishment of the Public Council at the National Agency on prevention of corruption as well as involvement of a coalition of public organizations.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Committee proposed to
create on the base of Committee a working
group for working out initiatives of improving of the current legislation regarding
making a report form of a political party of property, income, expenses and
financial obligations, that shall be approved by the National Agency for the
Prevention of Corruption taking into account the requirements of article 17 of
the Law Ukraine "On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine on
preventing and fighting political corruption."
During the meeting, the application of current legislation on detection and recording of offenses committed by officials of the time of V. Yanukovych, as well as the activation of priority measures related to the start of work of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption. Jose Uhas, in particular, noted that the independence of the National Agency for prevention of corruption as the public authority will ensure its success.
