Chairman of PJSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" Wojciech Balchun informed Committee members on the reform and improvement of "Ukrzaliznytsia".
After the discussion, the Committee recommended the Cabinet of Ministers to improve the efficiency of state control over rail transport through the concluding contracts with all members of the Board of PJSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" in the near future.
People's deputies have proposed to the Ministry
of infrastructure to develop a step by step action plan for the reform of rail
transport and the approval of draft law "On Railway Transport" and
submit it for approval to the Cabinet; to develop and submit to the Cabinet of
Ministers changes to the State target program of reforming of railway transport
in 2010-2019 years.
The Committee members recommended the Public Joint Stock Company "Ukrzaliznytsia": to develop and approve the strategic plan of the company and Technological Development Program of "Ukrzaliznytsia" with clearly defined priorities, stages and evaluation criteria of effectiveness; to tighten control over transport security, appoint responsible persons for this area; to audit departmental regulations governing the activities of railway transport with a view of their updating and adoption by bodies authorized by applicable law.
