During the week people’s deputies worked in plenary meetings, participated in the hearings, committee meetings, meetings, "round tables" and other events The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with 335 votes in plenary meeting on 2 June adopted the Law "On Amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine (on justice)" and the law "On the Judicial System and Status of Judges".

On June 1 parliamentary hearings were held on "Vocational training as a part of providing qualified personnel potential of Ukraine: Challenges and Solutions".

Opening the hearing, Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oksana Syroid, in particular, stressed: "We have put carrier-technical education under threat of destruction. But carrier-technical education - that's what people want, because without such kind of education there would be if no seamstress, mason, carpenter, worker in factories".

Events were with the participation of leadership the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrii Parubii during a meeting on Monday with the Speaker of the Seim of Lithuanian Republic Loreta Hrauzhynienie, Marshal of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Poland Stanislaw Karchevskyi and members of the Presidium of the Inter-parliamentary Assembly noted that the support provided by Poland and Lithuania, is "the most powerful and important."

The meeting participants discussed a wide range of trilateral cooperation, particularly in the context of reform, democracy and fight corruption.

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrii Parubii during a meeting of the Inter-parliamentary Assembly of Ukraine, Lithuania and Poland, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine called on to actively promote the development and close cooperation within the Baltic-Black Sea Union.

According to him, the first step to create a collective security in the Baltic-Black Sea region could be a joint Ukraine-Polish-Lithuanian military corps.

In Parliament seventh session of the Inter-parliamentary Assembly of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Seim of Lithuanian Republic, the Seim and Senate of Polish Republic was held.

Its members for two days discussed the role of inter-parliamentary component in terms of military aggression from Russia.

As part of the Seventh Session meetings of inter-parliamentary committees were held.

Tripartite inter-parliamentary Assembly of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Seim of Lithuanian Republic, the Seim and Senate of Polish Republic adopted a joint declaration on the results of the two-day meeting of the Assembly and appealed to the governments of the three countries with a proposal to assign the Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian military brigade the name of the prominent governor and prince Kostiantyn Ostrog.

a number of events were held in parliamentary committees and their representatives took part in visits and meetings.

The Committee on construction, urban development, housing considered and recommends the Verkhovna Rada to adopt in overall and in principle a draft law on amendments to article 13 of the Law of Ukraine "On peculiarities of committing of ownership right in an apartment house."

Chairman of the Committee on state construction, regional policy and local government Serhii Vlasenko met with the deputy head of the project "Management Reforms inf the east of Ukraine", carried out by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) Taras Zhuravel, an independent expert project Stefan Draeger and head of mission of the German Society international cooperation (GIZ) Arlette Stoianovich.

Chairman of the Committee on state construction, regional policy and local government Serhii Vlasenko held a meeting with the special adviser of the Government of Ukraine on the issue of decentralization Daniel Popescu (Council of Europe).

The Committee on economic policy recommends to the Parliament at adopt draft law "On limited and additional liability companies."

Members of the Committee for European integration at the regular meeting considered a number of draft laws on their compliance with the European Union, Ukraine's obligations under the Council of Europe and the Association Agreement between Ukraine, on one hand, and the European Union, the European Atomic Energy Community and their state-members, on the other hand.

On May 30 "Africa Day" was held by the Committee on foreign affairs.

African ambassadors accredited in Ukraine, Honorary consuls of African states, representatives of African associations took part in the solemn meeting.

During the opening ceremony of the meeting chairperson of the Committee Hanna Hopko emphasized the consistent position of the Ukrainian parliament, which holds such an event for the second time.

The Committee on preventing and fighting corruption considered 163 draft legal acts, which where corruptiongenic factors were not found out, 17 of which are considered as not meeting the requirements of anti-corruption legislation.

Members of the Committee on culture and spirituality considered the comments and suggestions of subjects of legislative initiative to the draft law on amending the Law of Ukraine "On Protection of Cultural Heritage" (to provide objects underwater cultural heritage status of the Marine memorial) and recommended Parliament to adopt it in a whole.

The Committee on science and education held a "round table" on "The ideology of entering higher educational institutions of Ukraine."

Members of the Committee on human rights, national minorities and international relations at the meeting discussed the improvement of regulations for the granting the status of refugee or persons who require an additional or temporary protection to foreigners and stateless persons who defended the sovereignty and territorial integrity Ukraine in the armed forces and volunteer units provided by the legislation of Ukraine.

Committee Chairman Hryhorii Nemyria urged the government not to violate the law of Ukraine relating internal migrants.

Committee on human rights, national minorities and international relations jointly with the Committee on foreign affairs and the center for civil liberties held a "round table" on "Justice in the area of ??ATO and prospects for ratification of the Rome Statute of the ICC."

During the event there was a public discussion of analytical reports prepared by the Center for Civil Liberties on investigation of crimes in the area of ??counter-terrorist operations related to violation of fundamental human rights on both sides of the armed conflict, as well as functioning of the courts, who had to leave the occupied territories for areas controlled by Ukraine.

Committee on taxation and customs policy considered the amendments prepared for the second reading of the draft law on amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine concerning the exemption of pensions and recommends Parliament to adopt it as a whole.

The Committee on industrial policy and entrepreneurship agreed with the proposals of President of Ukraine to reduce the deficit of ferrous scrap in the domestic market.

Committee on social policy, employment and pension discusses and recommends Parliament adopts the draft law that will provide recalculation of pensions for deportees and other victims of political repressions in Ukraine and the draft law that would guarantee early retired women a decent standard of retirement pension.

Committee on financial policy and banking recommends Parliament to adopt the draft law on financial restructuring in the second reading in general.

People's deputies took part in international events.

Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine took part in the 62nd spring session of NATO Parliamentary Assembly, held on May 27-30 this year in Tirana (Republic of Albania).

The delegation members people’s deputies O.Skrypnyk and Y.Bereza took an active part in the discussion of the report "Two wars of Ukraine: the defense of the independence and the implementation of real reforms" and expressed their vision of some of its provisions.

Co-chairman of the inter-parliamentary friendship group Ukraine-Italy Serhii Alekseev during a meeting with members of the Italian national delegation in  OSCE PA and its leader P.Romani in Rome, where he stayed with other Ukrainian parliamentarians stressed that "to talk about the elections in Donbas can  be only after the ceasefire and settlement of the situation. "

Members of the Ukrainian delegation also noted that for a quick establishment of peace in Donbas it is necessary to extend sanctions against Russia.

People's deputies of Ukraine, who were on an official visit to Italy met in Rome in  the Embassy of Ukraine with Ukrainian activists from the community.

In Parliament during the week there were other events.

Inter-factional association "Equal Opportunities" held on May 31 briefing on the start of a Ukraine-European campaign “Step ahead!” for the support of women against violence.

The participants jointly called for the ratification and implementation of the Istanbul Convention in Ukraine.

In Parliament, opened the exhibition "The way to a dream - the contribution of emmigrants from Ukraine to the creation of State of Israel."

The exhibition consists of 54 posters of original design, dedicated emigrants from Ukraine who in different times, starting from 1880 to 1948 took an active part in the creation of  the state of Israel.

On International Children's Day parliamentarians were presented with a dance flash mob and a manifesto of Children's dreams.
