On May 25, Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Affairs Hanna Hopko and co-chairperson of the deputy group of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for interparliamentary relations with the Italian Republic Serhii Alekseev met with Chair of Italian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe / Rapporteur for the PACE on corruption Michele Nicoletti within the framework of the visit of a delegation of people's deputies of Ukraine to the Italian Republic.
The Parties discussed current state of the Ukrainian-Italian relations and noted high level of development of the interparliamentary cooperation. Besides, they discussed finding of optimal ways to deepen cooperation between the parliaments of the two states, as well as between the national delegations within the framework of the PACE.
Informing about current situation in Ukraine and activity of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in reformation of the Ukrainian legislation, Hanna Hopko thanked Michele Nicoletti for the support on a complicated path of implementation of reforms in Ukraine, in particular, in the field of anticorruption legislation.
