There was a joint briefing of Deputy Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, member of the Ukrainian part of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Ukraine and Poland Borys Tarasiuk and the Head of the Polish-Ukrainian Parliamentary Group of the Sejm and the Senate of Poland Michal Dworczyk.

At the beginning of the speech Borys Tarasiuk stressed that this was the first meeting after the election of two new Parliaments.

"Close cooperation between the Parliaments of our countries is an important part of the Polish-Ukrainian strategic partnership. Honoring of joint memorable dates by giving them the names of famous Ukrainian politicians, joint commemoration of anniversaries, exchange of students and training of Ukrainian MPs in the Sejm are the ways of such cooperation," the spokesman said.

Michal Dworczyk emphasized on the full support for democratic European aspirations of Ukraine. "Cooperation between the committees and commissions will contribute to the development of Ukrainian-Polish relations," he said
