The discussion was held in the format of a joint meeting of the two working groups of the Committee under the chairpersonship of Committee Chairperson Serhii Vlasenko.
The working group on elaboration of the concept of reforming and development of the award system of Ukraine has summarized previous experience in the perfecting of the legislation on awards and decided in a two-week term to draft a new corresponding law and to consider it at the next meeting (please see more details on the website of the Committee).
The working group on legislative regulation of the procedure of use and description of the state symbols of Ukraine discussed prospects of settling these issues in one and the same legislative act or in separate legislative acts for each state symbols. Following the discussion the working group members decided to focus on the preparation of a unified draft law for all the state symbols of Ukraine. In this regard, the working group decided to recommend that the Committee during consideration of this issue take as a basis the draft law of Ukraine "On the state symbols of Ukraine, the procedure of their use and protection” No. 4103-1.
People’s deputies of Ukraine, representatives of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, scientists, experts, employees of the Committee secretariat took part in the meetings of the working groups.
