The Ukraine Week is important for reporting on the stand of Ukrainian parliamentarians on the situation in Ukraine to the European colleagues. What interests our European partners the most is will the crisis influence the progress of holding reforms, Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on European Integration Iryna Heraschenko stressed.

"Our key position is that the progress of reforms does not depend on the names of ministers, the prime minister or other politicians," I.Heraschenko said. "This is the choice the Ukrainian society has made. It is very important to exchange views on reforms and inform on the situation in the east of the country, on Russia’s failure to observe the regime of silence on the territories it controls. The main request to our European colleagues is to continue sanctions over Russia’s failure to implement the Minsk agreements. And the third, main goal is to learn from experience of European institutions, because European integration has become a part of the domestic policy of Ukraine, as in practice we often use those mechanisms and tools, which are post-Soviet in fact. Today for us is important to modify the work and structure of the parliament and its Secretariat, to be more responsible in elaborating draft laws from the viewpoint of adaptation to the European legislation," the Chairperson of the Committee on European Integration said.
