The legislative act amends Articles 81, 27, 39 and 41 of the Law of Ukraine "On Prosecutor’s Office," which envisage that the Prosecutor General of Ukraine will appoint and dismiss Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine - Head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office; First Deputy Head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and Deputy Head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, and the Head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office will appoint and dismiss Head of a department of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and Deputy Head of a department of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.
According to the Law, the Head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office obtains the right to hire and dismiss employees of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, who are not the prosecutors.
According to the Law, the competition for occupying administrative positions in the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office is held in public, with free access for mass media, journalists to meetings of the competition panel and with broadcasting in a real-time mode of video and audio information on competition panel’s meetings on the Internet. The time and place of holding the meetings of the competition panel are published on the official website of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine no later than 24 hours before the meeting. The Law was adopted as amended.
