Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopts Law "On amendments to Law of Ukraine "On refugees and persons in need of additional or temporary protection" concerning perfecting of procedure for documenting individuals”

The Verkhovna Rada has amended the Law "On refugees and persons in need of additional or temporary protection" as follows:

1) In Article 10:

Section 5 is supplemented with Paragraph 2 as follows:

"In case of detecting errors or inaccuracies in information about the person put in the decision on recognition as a refugee or a person in need of additional protection, the central executive government body implementing the state policy in the sphere of refugees and persons in need of additional or temporary protection, within a month after receiving the personal record of a refugee or a person in need of additional protection with written conclusion, decides on their correction and changes the documents issued on the basis of such decision;"

In Paragraph 1 of Section 8:

In the first sentence the words "within seven working days after receiving the decision on recognition as a refugee or a person in need of additional protection, issues to each person" are replaced with the words and numbers "within 15 working days after making the decision on recognition as a refugee or a person in need of additional protection, prepares and issues to each person;"

The second sentence after the words "as an exceptional case" is supplemented with the words "prepared and";

2) Section 14 of Article 11 is supplemented with Paragraph 2 as follows:

"In case of detecting errors or inaccuracies in information about the person put in the decision on the loss, deprival of a status of a refugee or a person in need of additional protection or cancellation the decision on recognition as a refugee or a person in need of additional protection, the central executive government body implementing the state policy on refugees and persons in need of additional or temporary protection, within a month after receiving the personal record of a refugee or a person in need of additional protection with written conclusion, decides on their correction."
