Employees of the Information Department and other divisions of the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine have received certificates on participation in the training entitled "Public activity and communication with public" within the program entitled "Improvement of the level of ICT-competence of employees of the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine."
The series of educational trainings initiated by the Information Office of the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, are conducted by the Business Technologies Development Center within the framework of the educational initiatives of Intel with the assistance of the World Bank Office in Ukraine. The trainings are aimed at increasing skills and experience in use of modern information technologies in the field of public relations.
During the work of the Module II, its participants were presented Intel's educational programs in Ukraine, initiatives of the training organizers touching work with the instruments for public activity, part of the public online activity in the development of the state and the government.
The Secretariat employees learnt how to create mass messages as an instrument of direct, rapid and guaranteed transmission of information.
Working in small groups and individually, the training participants learnt how to use webinars, conference calls, podcasts, steam-broadcasting, learnt how to create blogs, websites, video channels, etc.
The participants in the training also learnt about the instruments of communication with the public, peculiarities of organization of communication and feedback, online consultations and questionings.
Representatives of the Business Technologies Development Center also told about social networking websites, effective use of Facebook.
The training participants also discussed advantages and disadvantages of social online media in communication with the public.

The training was the Module II of a series of modules. It is planned to hold Module III entitled "Adaptation of the contents for online use by the public."
