At their meeting on February 15 headed by Chairperson of the Committee Iryna Heraschenko, people's deputies supported the draft law No. 0083, which is destined to facilitate the deepening of good-neighborly relations with the Slovak Republic and raising of international authority of Ukraine. The meeting took place with the participation of Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister of Ukraine for European integration Olena Zerkal.

The Committee members also considered a number of draft laws aimed at the fulfillment of criteria within the framework of implementation of the second phase of the Visa Liberalisation Action Plan for Ukraine, in particular, the draft laws Nos. 4054, 4055, 4056 and 3787.

The people's deputies decided to recommend that the main Committees submit the draft laws Nos. 4054, 4055 and 4056 for consideration of the Verkhovna Rada and their final adoption as a basis.

The draft law No. 4054 is elaborated to ensure proper implementation of EU recommendations, which is vital for the speedup of the visa liberalization, and to guarantee application "special confiscation" and "property arrest" in strict correspondence with the European standards. Adoption of the draft law No. 4055 will allow implementation recommendations of the International Monetary Fund and the European Commission and improve legal framework of activity of the Specialized Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, ensure transparency of tender commissions on appointment to respective seats in the Specialized Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office. Adoption of the draft law No. 4056 will provide the national agency with the instruments of effective management of assets in compliance with the provisions of the 2014/42/ECC directive, which in turn will allow fulfillment of Ukraine's international obligation to the European Union in this field.

The Committee members concluded that the provisions of the draft law No. 3787 are similar to those, which are regulated at the level of the national legislation of the EU member countries, thus, they do not need any conclusions of the Committee touching their correspondence to the acquis of the EU.

The people's deputies considered and took in account the report "On course and results of implementation of action plan by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in 2015." The parliamentarians noted the necessity for creation of the position of vice prime minister of Ukraine for European integration, creation of structure mainly engaged in examination and translation of EU legislative acts, as well as the intensification of the dialogue with representatives of the Ukrainian business within the framework of the free trade area.

Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister of Ukraine for European integration Olena Zerkal pointed out the importance of Parliament's work in keeping with the adoption of the package of draft laws aimed at fulfillment of criteria within the framework of implementation of the second phase of the Visa Liberalisation Action Plan.

The Committee members decided to address three elected members of the National Anticorruption Agency with a request to launch full activity within the said structure.
