Under the chairpersonship of Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman held was a round table on the topic "100 days of unified territorial communities: achievements, problems and prospects," which was attended by representatives of the parliament, the government and international organizations having interest in the progress of the reform of local self-government in Ukraine.
Also Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman, Chairperson of the Committee on Science and Education Lilia Hrynevych and Chairperson of the Committee on Family Matters, Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism Artur Palatnyi presented the annual Prizes of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the teaching staff of secondary, vocational, pre-school and post-school educational institutions; the most talented young scientists in the field of basic and applied research, and scientific and technological research works; for the youth’s contribution to the development of parliamentarism, and local self-government.
The Committee on Culture and Spirituality held a public discussion of the proposals and remarks to the draft law "On State Support for Cinematography." The discussion was attended by people’s deputies, representatives of central bodies of executive power, internet community, telecommunication business, experts, the public, film producers, and publishers.
The Committee on Economic Policy listened to the report on the progress and results of implementation of the Action Pan of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in 2015. The meeting was attended by all members of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, who reported on results of their work, as well as the entire composition of the Committee, other MPs, representatives of the public and mass media.
The Committee on Legal Policy and Justice held personal reception of citizens. Also in the Committee, at the initiative of First Deputy Chairperson of the Committee Leonid Yemets, held was a meeting of the working group to examine the draft law "On amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On ensuring the right to a fair trial" (concerning the rights of judges holding positions in the courts, which stopped functioning over natural disasters, military actions or holding of the antiterrorist operation)” No.3328.
The Committee on Corruption Prevention and Counteraction examined some draft laws concerning certain aspects of functioning of the Motor (Transport) Insurance Bureau of Ukraine (MTIBU).
Following the meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the National Bank, associations of the banking market and representatives of borrowers associations, Chairperson of the Committee on Financial Policy and Banking Serhii Rybalka addressed non-government associations of foreign-currency borrowers, Civil Council under the National Bank of Ukraine, as well as all concerned parties with an open letter proposing to submit their remarks and proposals to the draft law No. 4004.
Head of the Permanent Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) Liudmyla Denisova took part in the Draft Budget and Auditing Commission, which was held at the PABSEC International Secretariat in Istanbul (the Republic of Turkey). At the meeting of the Draft Budget and Auditing Commission adopted was an audit report with remarks of the Ukrainian delegation aimed at more rational spending of PABSEC's budget funds.
The delegation of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Affairs headed by Chairperson of the Committee Hanna Hopko, her deputies Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze and Ihor Huz visited the Republic of Bulgaria to participate in the international conference entitled "Democratic Security Based on European Unity and Cooperation."
Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and Interethnic Relations Hryhorii Nemyria had a meeting with Head of International Committee of the Red Cross in Ukraine Alan Eschliman, UNHCR Deputy Regional Representative Vanno Noupech, representatives of the European Union Advisory Mission Ukraine (EUAM Ukraine).
Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Science and Education Lilia Hrynevych met with Counselor for Public Affairs of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine Conrad Turner.
Ukrainian delegation headed by Chairperson of the group on interparliamentary relations with Qatar in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrii Artemenko was on an official visit to Doha (Qatar).
