Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman said this at the roundtable entitled "100 days of unified territorial communities: achievements, problems and prospects."

He also noted that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is involved in the process of the local self-government reformation. "The Ukrainian Parliament has protected the rights of the territorial communities in the context of the budget-financial decentralization," Groysman said.

He also said that the issue of competence of local self-government bodies is crucially important as "people have to acknowledge that their future depends on themselves."
