In 2015, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Social Policy, Employment and Pension Provision held 31 meetings, at which it considered 299 draft laws and other issues.
The Committee considered 181 draft laws it was responsible for: of them 107 were eyed during the first half of 2015 and 74 during the July-December period.
The Committee members also considered one draft law submitted by the President of Ukraine; 23 draft laws submitted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine; 138 draft laws submitted by the people's deputies.
In 2015, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted 22 laws elaborated by the Committee, of them 20 laws have already taken effect and two laws were adapted with proposals of the President of Ukraine, later eyed by the Committee and returned to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to overcome respective presidential veto.
Besides, the Committee provided its conclusions on 118 draft laws: one of which was submitted by the President of Ukraine; 16 by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine; and 101 by the people's deputies.
