To resolve the situation in Donbas all parties to the Minsk negotiations should fulfill their obligations, Deputy Chairperson of the Committee on Legal Policy and Justice Serhii Alekseyev said. According to him, this position was made public by representatives of the coalition during an official visit to Oslo (Norway), where they studied the experience of coalition building.

"When meeting with politicians and officials of various levels, in particular with the Speaker of the parliament, when communicating with journalists and experts, we emphasized that Ukraine is a reliable partner fulfilling its obligations, including in the framework of the Minsk agreements. For the same actions we expect from all parties participating in the Minsk negotiations. First of all, this concerns Russia," he said.

Serhii Alekseyev said that pursuant to its obligations Ukraine has prepared amendments to the Constitution, according to which in separate regions of Donetsk and Luhansk regions in effect will be certain peculiarities of local self-government. In 2014, in order to implement this item on the transitional provisions they already adopted a corresponding law.

"However, as President Petro Poroshenko has repeatedly stressed, neither relevant item on the transitional provisions of the draft amendments to the Constitution nor the law directed at the implementation of this item pose any threat to the territorial integrity of Ukraine, and this is what some politicians and experts are afraid of," he said.

Summing up the visit to Norway, Serhii Alekseyev said that although this country is not member of the European Union, but it adheres to the European values ??and applies them in practice.

"The policy of Norway, both foreign and domestic, is built on feasibility, and rejects populism. This fact became a guarantee that the standard of living in Norway is among the highest in the world, and the political system is stable. And we should look up to the examples of such countries," he said.
