The legislative act provides for bringing the legislation of Ukraine in line with the Law of Ukraine "On the National Police."
The law takes into account the proposal of the President of Ukraine as to resolving the issue of further training of specialists for the needs of the National Police by higher educational institutions with specific conditions of training, which belong to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and carried out training of specialists on government order for the needs of the law enforcement bodies.
Also, they took into account the proposal of the President concerning the fact that operational-investigative cases, launched by the internal affairs bodies before November 6, 2015, are subject to closure.
According to the amendments made, "operational-investigative cases, launched by operational units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine before the entry into force of the Law of Ukraine "On the National Police," are transferred by formed in the proper manner corresponding liquidation commissions to the operational units of the National Police of Ukraine, taking into account their competences. Operational units of the National Police of Ukraine accept such cases and assume duties on them according to the Law of Ukraine "On Operational-Investigative Activity" and the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Respective draft law was registered under No. 3225.
