In September-November the newly-appointed employees of the Secretariat took an on-the-job course of professional training. During the classes, experts from the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine, the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, public authorities and heads of Secretariat’s subdivisions shared their experience regarding important theoretical questions and their practical application in work.
When summing up, First Deputy Head of the Verkhovna Rada Secretariat V.I. Slyshynskyi said that at present the efforts are made to improve the efficiency of the Secretariat’s work, in progress is the transition to electronic document flow that is why the requirements to the Secretariat staff, their knowledge and skills are constantly increasing. He drew attention to the need for further improvement by employees of their professional level, IT knowledge, and English language.
Director of the Institute of Higher Qualification of the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, K.S. Shkliaruk delivered a report on results of training, testing and questioning of the employees.
The trainees shared their impressions concerning the subject and importance of the questions, and made proposals regarding the improvement of organization of appropriate training in the future. The Head of the Personnel Office V.E. Maksymiyak said that next year they would pay even more attention to raising the level of professional competence of the employees.
During the solemn ceremony, 39 public employees of the Secretariat, which had completed their training and successfully passed the test, were granted qualification upgrade certificates.
