These proposals are included in the Bill 'On Amendments to Several Legislative Acts appertaining to the Disposition of State-owned Forestry Land Plots´.

The Bill (Reg. No.1277) amends the Forestry and Land Code of Ukraine, to bring up the area of  a State-owned Forestry Land Plot (to 10 ha and more),  which The Cabinet of Ministers could then hand over into ownership, or   permanent use for non-forestry purposes.

The Author of this Bill, The People´s Deputy, R. Tkach, stressed that  no decisions on the transfer of even one forestry land plot has been taken by the Ukrainian Government since the adoption of the revised Forestry Code of Ukraine. The latest innovations in the Forestry Code have in fact led to a considerable decline in the development of small businesses, together with  a decrease in investment proposals, in particular those related to Leisure and Tourism.

The Author is of the opinion that the passing of this Bill will secure improvements in the legal regime of land relations.
