The draft Labor Code of Ukraine offers to determine major principles and mechanisms of exercise of constitutional labor rights and guarantees of employees, to create proper conditions of labor and to protect interests of employees and employers in conditions of market economy.
The draft also envisions package approach to the settlement of social-labor issues, codification and unification of legislative acts on labor and incorporation of their terms.
The draft also determines major principles of legal settlement of labor relations, characteristics of labor conditions, etc.
The draft Labor Code of Ukraine is supplemented with provisions on legal succession in labor relations; suspension of labor relations; termination of labor relations due to emergency circumstances/obstacles for further labor relations; etc.
The terms of the draft Labor Code of Ukraine are aimed at the bringing of the labor legislation of Ukraine in line with the European Social Charter (revised) and other international-legal acts.
The draft Labor Code of Ukraine was registered under No. 1658.
