According to Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman, Ukraine will become a European state only as a result of real actions.

"To settle the problems is not the goal, as the goal is to create conditions in which no problems would be possible at the local level," he said.

According to Groysman, on the whole, the local election passed stably. However, he expressed surprise over unwillingness of 60% of Ukrainian citizens to take part in the voting and influence on their life.

Groysman noted that the key position in election of authorities is trust.

"How can one promise and then not keep the promise? In conditions of decentralization, everyone must be responsible," Groysman said.

He said the parliamentary coalition is responsible for the Government, and the Government is responsible before the coalition.

"We must understand each other at the Parliament. We will understand how to change the system as we have acknowledged the way it works. New format of conciliatory councils is envisaged. In 3-4 months, the Parliament will be 10 times as efficient as it is now," Groysman said.

According to the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada, populism is evil, which is not better than corruption.
