The participants of the Committee meeting noted that the draft law No. 2235 offers to expand the number of persons, who bring up a child aged under 14 or a disabled child, allowed to use their right to short shifts at the expense of enterprises and organizations they work for. Besides, such a guarantee touches not only women, but also men (fathers) and caretakers.

The draft law also gives the said category of people the right to short shifts to take care of a sick member of their families.

According to the Secretariat of the Committee, supporting the draft law, the people's deputies noted that the said changes would ensure equality of women and men's participation in upbringing of children and in taking care of sick family members.
