Members of Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Affairs meet with U.S. Senate delegation

On September 2, the members of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Affairs had a meeting with the delegation of the Senate of the United States headed by United States Senator from Rhode Island Jack Reed.

The Parties discussed the aspects of cooperation with the United States in conditions of Russia's continuous aggression upon Ukraine. Particular attention was paid to the operational abilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine, which have to have all required equipment and tools to ensure security at the Ukrainian borders.

It was said the lawmaking body of the United States supports the necessity for further deepening of cooperation between Ukraine and the United States in military and military-technical sectors to modernize the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Participants of the meeting pointed out the important role played by Washington in the context of mobilization of efforts of the world community to counteract Moscow's aggression.
