Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legal Policy and Justice recommends Ukrainian Parliament put draft law "On introduction of decentralization amendments into Constitution of Ukraine" onto agenda of 2nd session and send it for consideration of Constitutional Court to receive respective conclusion as to its correspondence to Articles 157 and 158 of Constitution of Ukraine

On July 9, the Committee eyed the urgent presidential draft law No. 2217а on introduction of amendments into the Constitution of Ukraine (as to decentralization of power).

Members of the Committee noted that the adoption of the offered constitutional amendments will not entail the violation of international obligations of Ukraine.
