At the hearings, Head of the Committee Serhii Vlasenko said that creation of conditions for cooperation of territorial communities and its encouragement are important trends in the local self-government reform in Ukraine.
Participants of the hearings discussed the practice of introduction of the law along with territorial communities of Poltava region, which in terms of the number of signed cooperation agreements is the most active region in Ukraine (at present there are 17 territorial communities cooperation agreements registered in Ukraine).
As a result of the discussion, in June, the Committee will approve recommendations aimed at the intensification of the dialogue between state and local self-government bodies on settlement of the questions raised at the hearings.
