Deputy Head of Verkhovna Rada Committee for Legal Policy and Justice Vasyl Yanitskyi on his working visit to Canada

During his working visit Vasyl Yanitskyi had meetings at the Parliament of Canada, Canadian Judicial Council, Judicial Councils of Ontario and Quebec provinces.

The visit is conducted within the Ukrainian delegation in the frames of the component of the Ukrainian Canadian project entitled "Judicial Education for Economic Growth" and will last from May 5 through May 16, 2015.

The participants of the meetings discussed legislative provisions that regulate different issues within the judicial system (establishment of courts, specialized tribunals, etc.); creation of positions of judges; process of consultations with representatives of the judicial manpower (heads of courts and councils of judges); and also current initiatives and programs established and functioning in Canada.
