The Verkhovna Rada Committee for European Integration has held hearings entitled "Consolidation of role of Euroregions in transfrontier cooperation of Ukraine."
The hearings took place on May 13.
Participants of the hearings were people's deputies; representatives of Euroregions named Karpaty-Ukraine, Bug, Dnister, Verkhnii Prut, Nyzhnii Dunai, Slobozhanschyna; representatives of local governments; the Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Public Utility Economy Ministry; the Ministry of Infrastructure; the Foreign Affairs Ministry; the Governmental Office for European Integration; scientists and partners from Germany.
At the end of the hearings, Committee members elaborated draft recommendations for the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Cabinet of Ministers, central and local bodies, and leadership of Euroregions themselves.
Besides, the participants recommended holding respective parliamentary hearings on Consolidation of the Role of Euroregions in Transfrontier Cooperation.
