Ukraine expects the forthcoming Eastern Partnership summit in Riga (Latvia) on May 21-22 to confirm prospects of Ukraine’s membership of the European Union, announce finalization of the implementation of the Action Plan for the liberalization of visa regime by the EU for short-term trips of Ukrainian citizens to the Schengen countries, and to declare the completion of the process of ratification of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU by national parliaments of the EU countries.

This was said by First Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrii Parubii in the frames of negotiations with delegation of representatives of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of the Republic of Poland headed by Konrad Pawlik, deputy head of the Polish ministry.

Employees of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland to Ukraine also took part in the meeting.
