Verkhovna Rada Committee for Environmental Policy, Environmental Management and Mitigation of Consequences of the Chornobyl Disaster supports draft law on introduction of amendments into Tax Code of Ukraine as to exemption of paramilitary units from land tax

It was noted that the draft law No. 2230 envisions reduction in financial burden on maintenance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via the exemption of paramilitary units from land tax and channeling of budget funds for the enhancement of combat effectiveness of paramilitary units, divisions, institutions and organizations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, inter alia the Defense Ministry of Ukraine, Central Reconnaissance Service, Ministry of Interior Affairs, State Special Transport Service, Security Service of Ukraine, External Intelligence Service, State Border Service, State Guard Office, State Emergency Situations Service, National Guard, which are totally maintained at the expense of the state budget.

It was also mentioned that the adoption of the draft law will not require expansion of budget expenditures.
