Verkhovna Rada Committee for European Integration examines number of draft laws as to their correspondence to European Union Law

On April 8, the Committee headed by Iryna Heraschenko eyed a number of draft laws as to their correspondence to the Law of the European Union. In particular, the Committee ruled that the following draft laws are in line with the EU Law and Ukraine’s obligations in the frames of the Council of Europe:

 

    on introduction of amendments into the Law of Ukraine "On appeals of citizens" as to e-appeals and e-petition (No. 2299);

    on introduction of amendments into the Law of Ukraine “On quarantine of plants” as to reformation of the state regulation in the field of quarantine of plants and bringing of phytosanitary measures in line with international standards and obligations (No. 1875).

 

Members of the Committee declared the following draft laws not corresponding to the EU Law:

 

    the draft law on introduction of amendments into Chapter XX “Transitional provisions” of the Tax Code of Ukraine as to peculiarities of taxation, importation and delivery of vehicles equipped with electric motors (No. 1912);

    the draft law on introduction of amendments into some legislative acts of Ukraine as to executive bodies of legal entities and improvement of investment policy (No. 1526).

 

The Committee also recommended that the Verkhovna Rada adopt as a basis and on the whole the draft resolution on Appeal of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the Parliament of the Netherlands as to returning of museum values to Ukraine (No. 2482).

Besides, members of the Committee heard representatives of the National Agency for State Service, who presented draft laws of Ukraine on state service and service in local self-government bodies and discussed the draft law in the context of its correspondence to the system of organization of state service in the EU countries.
