On 13 October, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted at first reading and as a whole the draft Law on Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and Certain Other Laws of Ukraine Regarding the Postponement of Deadlines for Introducing Electronic Traceability of the Circulation of Alcoholic Beverages, Tobacco Products, and Liquids Used in Electronic Cigarettes (No. 15532 of 21 August 2026).
The draft law provides for postponing the deadlines for introducing electronic traceability of the circulation of alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, and liquids used in electronic cigarettes from 1 November 2026 to 1 July 2027.
The need for postponing the deadlines stems from the fact that as of 1 November 2026, the Electronic System will not be ready for full-scale implementation due to the requirement for additional time for its testing, configuration, and integration.
