PLENARY MEETINGS OF THE SECOND SESSION OF THE VERKHOVNA RADA OF UKRAINE OF THE SIXTH CONVOCATION WERE HELD ON THURSDAY, 5 JUNE

At the beginning of a morning meeting, Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, informed the People´s Deputies about the death of Ivan Herasymov, member of the CPU Deputy Faction, the eldest of the People´s Deputies of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the Sixth Convocation. 

The People´s Deputies observed a one-minute silence to honour their colleague.

Then the parliament members considered the issues included into the agenda. The People´s Deputies passed a Resolution on Amendments to the Decree of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine "On Election of  Chairmen, First Vice-Chairmen, Secretaries and Members of hen the parliament members considered the issues included into the agenda. rkhovna Rada of Ukraine,  HELD ON THURSDAY, 5 JUNE the Committees of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the Sixth Convocation, and Election of  Chairman, First Vice-Chairman, Vice-Chairmen, Secretary and Members of the Ad Hoc Panel of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Privatization". Pursuant to the Resolution, Olexandr Steshenko, the People´s Deputy of Ukraine, was elected member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs. 

Then the People´s Deputies scrutinized four Bills on privatization. The authors of the Bills reported on the contents of the Bills.

Then the People´s Deputies scrutinized a number of draft resolutions on setting up temporary inquiry panels. 

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed a Resolution on setting up a Temporary Inquiry Panel of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to investigate the Reasons for establishing unreasonably High Prices for Housing in Kyiv and other cities of Ukraine, and Builders´ Non-Fulfilment of Obligations due to Contracts on Housing Construction Investments.

The Chairman gave floor to Andriy Portnov, the People´s Deputy of Ukraine. He stated that the BYuT Faction calls for urgent consideration of the Request of the Prime-Minister of Ukraine for Dismissal of Valentyna Semeniuk from the Post of the Head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine. 

Andriy Portnov appealed to the Prime-Minister of Ukraine and the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with a request to withdraw a draft resolution on appointment of Andriy Portnov to the Post of the Head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine.

A.Portnov deems reasonable to choose the candidate for the Post of the Head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine that would be readily accepted by the majority of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The People´s Deputies scrutinized a number of draft resolutions on election and dismissal of judges, and passed relevant decisions.

Then the parliament members resumed consideration of several draft resolutions on setting up parliamentary temporary inquiry panels.

The Verkhovna Rada resolved to set up the following panels:

a Temporary Inquiry Panel of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to investigate the Issues concerning Construction of Metallurgical Works in Bila Tserkva District of Kyiv Region, and its Possible Damage to the Environment;

a Temporary Inquiry Panel of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to investigate the circumstances surrounding the Violation of the Constitution of Ukraine and Ukrainian Laws in the Field of Land Relations, by Sevastopol City State Administration, and other;

a Temporary Inquiry Panel of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to investigate the Cause of Death of a 17-year-old Adolescent in Kramatorsk (Donetsk region), and Mass Complications among the Residents of Donetsk Region after Measles and Rubella Vaccination;

a Temporary Inquiry Panel of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to investigate the circumstances surrounding the Violation of the Constitution of Ukraine and Ukrainian Laws, by Chaika V.D., Mykolaiv Mayor, and other Officials of Mykolaiv City Council;

a Temporary Inquiry Panel of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to investigate the Facts of Violation of The Constitution of Ukraine, the Land Code of Ukraine and Ukrainian Laws, and Non-Compliance with the Court Decisions of Ternopil City Council.

Then the morning plenary meeting was closed.

At the beginning of an evening meeting, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine announced that Oleksiy Fedun, the People´s Deputy of Ukraine, joins The Party of Regions Deputy Faction.

Then the People´s Deputies discussed the Law "On State Registration of the Real Estate Material Rights and Their Restrictions" with the motions of The President of Ukraine. The Law was forwarded for further elaboration.

The evening plenary meeting was closed.
