On June 18, the Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation recommended that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approve, taking into account the Committee's proposals, the draft Appeal of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the People of the United States of America on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence. (Reg. No 15226).
In this Appeal, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine congratulates the people of the USA on a historic milestone — the 250th anniversary of the US Declaration of Independence — and expresses its sincere gratitude for their support in countering the armed aggression of the russian federation.
In the Appeal, it is emphasised once again the strategic nature of relations between Ukraine and the USA, as well as the importance of further development in political, economic, and cultural cooperation, and people-to-people contacts.
The Committee members also recommended that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approve the draft Law of Ukraine “On the Ratification of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Moldova on the Gainful Employment of Family Members of Staff of Diplomatic Missions or Consular Posts” (Reg. No. 0375).
The draft law was developed to complete all domestic procedures necessary for the entry into force of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Moldova on the Gainful Employment of Family Members of Staff of Diplomatic Missions or Consular Posts.
Upon the Agreement’s entry into force, the necessary legal foundations will be established to enable family members of diplomatic and consular staff to exercise their right to work, maintain their professional qualifications, and access opportunities for further career development. Consequently, family members of staff from Ukrainian diplomatic missions or consular posts will be able to engage in gainful employment in Moldova, while family members of Moldovan staff will be able to do so in Ukraine.
